I remember feeling like my brain was vibrating, almost like a disconcerting dance of sensations. It's definitely worth exploring the possibility of vertebral artery syndrome, as it aligns with some of your symptoms, such as the neck pain, pressure, and tingling in your face. Don't lose hope, and make sure to get the necessary tests done to rule it out, so you can find the right treatment path and regain your sense of balance and well-being.executive career consultanthttps://philadelphiacareercoachingcenter.com/mentorship-services/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8108477506221287659.post-48858944325146647372022-04-15T01:34:37.075-05:002022-04-15T01:34:37.075-05:00Great BlogGreat BlogKaushal Kumarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04297913454540976138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8108477506221287659.post-40296496943821580542022-04-12T05:08:49.322-05:002022-04-12T05:08:49.322-05:00yes i have used it and i am very satisfiedyes i have used it and i am very satisfiedhavuzhttps://www.e-havuzmarket.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8108477506221287659.post-88676312595146755442020-01-08T20:48:24.504-06:002020-01-08T20:48:24.504-06:00Regarding mattress type and quality having a relat...Regarding mattress type and quality having a relationship to pain and comfort, that is certainly true. However, that doesn't mean finding the right mattress always solves the problem. High quality memory foam mattresses like Tempurpedic or Nimblepedic are often very good choices for trochanteric bursitis. However, other complimentary measures are often necessary to overcome such issues. It is very important to also place a nice cushy, soft, but fairly thick pillow between your knees when side sleeping. If sleeping on your back, the mattress type may not make much difference in cases of hip bursitis. The knee pillow, when side sleeping should make a huge difference. Even if the affected hip is the side up toward the ceiling the pillow is very important because allowing the leg to fall against the other knee or against the mattress will place a big strain on the fascia and bursa of the hip. All this being said, even if you do everything right mechanically and with regard to mattress choice it is sometimes not enough. Other measures like neuromuscular fascia release, anti inflammatory meds/supplements or exercises for the core maybe a necessary adjuncdt.backdochttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13553455483514506418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8108477506221287659.post-69328982117307109862020-01-07T11:09:37.479-06:002020-01-07T11:09:37.479-06:00what about the Nectar mattresses - any information...what about the Nectar mattresses - any information as to good, bad or indifferent for long term benefits for trochanteric bursitis?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09587698453601109744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8108477506221287659.post-18982471177947251142020-01-07T11:07:11.843-06:002020-01-07T11:07:11.843-06:00My pain developed using what was a "tradition...My pain developed using what was a "traditional" firm mattress, after a few months I switched to a memory foam mattress. There has been some improvement in trying to sleep on my back (on the firm mattress other pressure points would cause numbness in my shoulders/arms, with the foam that does not happen) but the bursitis pain persists. Have there been studies to correlate mattress design to pain/discomfort? You did not mention one. Now, I suppose you could have strained the ilio-tibial band while doing exercises to help the original issue, but you would likely have realized that you overdid something resulting in the new, right-sided problem. So, in spite of the fact that you mentioned the doctor did not think you have a disc problem, you very well may have a minor one. That being said, the issues in the right thigh (if disc related) would result from dysfunction/degeneration at a different disc level that what caused the symptoms down the back of the left leg. If it is disc related it sounds to be like it is a minor dysfunction because it gets better throughout your day, rather than worse. It would seem that there is nerve involvement because of pain radiating down the path of a nerve. You do need to know why that is. Muscle strains do not cause such. I don't think it is an emergency, but should be followed through by a competent diagnostician to the point of a definitive diagnosis.
An additional thing to note would be the fact that a good night's sleep with a properly supporting mattress, should cause you to start the day with less pain, not more, unless you have an arthritic spine which could get worse with lack of movement. Eliminating that possibility, we would have to assume that your mattress and/or sleep position is not adequate for your needs. I generally recommend an "Original Talalay Latex Mattress" (http://www.backbenimble.com/latex-mattress.htm) for best support in these cases of low back pain with associated sciatic radiation.backdochttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13553455483514506418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8108477506221287659.post-36012990339406225652017-11-18T12:29:30.650-06:002017-11-18T12:29:30.650-06:00I don't see any posts here since Jan. so I'...I don't see any posts here since Jan. so I'm not sure I'll get a reply. Here is my situation. In August I developed sciatic pain down the back of my left leg into my foot, at it's worst in the morning on arising from bed and then would generally ease over the course of the day. The pain was annoying at worst, never severe. In October I finally saw a pain management physician who recommended 4-6 weeks of exercises, and if no improvement, MRI of the lumbar spine was in order. After a few weeks of exercises the pain was 85-90% improved. BUT...a little more than one week ago I suddenly developed soreness of my right lower back - not in the spine itself, but in the muscles to the right of the spine. This was followed in a day or two by soreness in the front of the right thigh. Within a day or two I then developed moderately severe pain along the outer right thigh into the knee. None of the pain is down the back of my right leg. The pain mostly occurs at night (I sit for work much of the day). Sometimes there is very little pain until late in the day, except when I first get up. It is worsened by sitting and by lying in certain positions in bed at night. I've had a couple of episodes of excruciating spasms in the right thigh while trying to sleep. This prompted a visit to my primary care doc 2 days ago who diagnosed muscle strain and prescribed Naproxen and Baclofen. He did not think it was a disc. I have no pain when coughing or laughing but there is significant pain in my right thigh first thing in the morning or during the night when urinating. When the pain is present, the meds don't seem to offer much relief. As far as I can tell, the pain I have is in the iliotibial band. When the primary care doc did a straight leg raise test, there was pain in the outside of the right thigh. I have no weakness or trouble walking. I should mention that I have recently had a yearly physical and blood work and the primary care doc thinks I'm healthy. However, this pain is very worrisome to me. It's so much worse than my previous left sided sciatic pain. The doc wants to wait 4 weeks before doing MRI. Should I be concerned and not wait? I have never had pain like this before and while it isn't constant, it is interrupting my sleep and when I have it I am miserable. Any ideas what it could be? Thank you in advance.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14983176648734093517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8108477506221287659.post-42844838003969008362017-11-07T23:52:29.435-06:002017-11-07T23:52:29.435-06:00So sorry to hear about your pain and frustration w...So sorry to hear about your pain and frustration with the condition of which you suffer. Sounds like either one of two conditions. 1) a really bad disc disruption in the mid neck OR, 2) ankylosing spondylitis, a supposedly autoimmune arthritic disorder characterized by lots of inflammation, discomfort and a poor forward flexed posture like your describe. You probably need blood tests to help differentially diagnose. If it was a disc issue, something would likely show on the MRI or a lateral X-ray of neck might show a curve reversal putting pressure on a disc.backdochttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13553455483514506418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8108477506221287659.post-30189460812934641362017-11-03T20:46:23.501-05:002017-11-03T20:46:23.501-05:00i understand this post is old, but i’m hoping to g...i understand this post is old, but i’m hoping to get some answers. i went to a chiropractor & he said my neck curve is basically backwards. fhe thing is, my symptoms are soo weird. hard to explain but i will try.
1- lightheadedness
2- brain fog (depersonalization)
3- a shaky feeling inside my head. it’s very scary.
it’s almost like a vibration in my brain. 4- pressure in the neck area.
5- i see stars and all sorts of different kinds of spots in my vision.
6- dizziness & a feeling of just being off balanced
7- neck pain
8- pain behind eyes
9- tingling in my face
10- involuntary eye movements
11- fatigue
12- pain in back of head that shoots off to the sides
13- light sensitivity
i was once a stomach sleeper for a very long time (i’m 21 years old)
i find myself grabbing my neck alot because it helps a little bit. i have anxiety, but i honestly feel there’s something wrong. i’ve had my thyroid checked & my mri came back perfect. could it be my neck causing these scary symptoms? More likely you are experiencing either a "Piriformis Syndrome" or a Sacro-iliac dysfunction. The right physical therapist can probably help, especially if they do manipulation of the S-I joint (sacro-iliac). The other alternatives would be either a chiropractic physician or an osteopath that does manipulation.backdochttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13553455483514506418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8108477506221287659.post-76461511415189482622017-05-12T15:27:46.018-05:002017-05-12T15:27:46.018-05:00Hi, I am dealing with what feels like sciatica for...Hi, I am dealing with what feels like sciatica for quite a while (6 months). However, it fully subsided for around 2 with the first situation lasting about 6 or 8 weeks. I don't seem to have too much of a pattern. Intermittent sharp pain or dull throbbing pain down left buttock into back of left thigh. It can occur at any time but seems to be relieved after about a 1/2 walk. Never wakes me up and I have full mobility. Back does not hurt. Just relentess pains (mostly bottom of buttock and hamstring area). Havent been to dr. Have been to 3 Physical therapy sessions. He knows pelvis, hips are out of alignment and buttocks are tight. Assuming it is nerve pain, will a physical therapist help? Thanks.
